Dare Co S/C Awards

On May 7, 2025, the Dare County Shrine Club conducted their monthly club meeting and recognized Nobles Saint C. Basnight, Jr. and Lionel J. Shannon, Jr., for receiving their Shriners International 50-Year Membership Service Awards. The meeting was held at Stripers Restaurant in Manteo. Dare County Shrine Club President David Mason opened the meeting and welcomed those in attendance. Dare County Shriner and PP Jerry Tillett (15) attended. The club capitalized on this special evening and paid tribute to the ladies present for a “Happy Mother’s Day”. Captain of the Guard and Area Governor Daniel Hilburn read the recipients letters. Chief Rabban Jeff Taylor presented the certificates and the congratulatory letters and pins from our Imperial Potentate, Imperial Sir Richard Burke. Our Sudan Divan officers present were Assistant Rabban Chris Boykin; Oriental Guide Larry Barnes; 2nd Ceremonial Master Robby Sadler, and Outer Guard Lee Cannady.  As always, Sudan says “Congratulations and thank you!”
