Noble J. Dean West Jr. was born November 4, 1981 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Jonathan D., Sr. and Cindi West. Dean graduated from Western Harnett High School in 2000 and began attending Fayetteville Technical Community College studying Funeral Service Education and later Criminal Justice. He began his childhood dream of becoming a law enforcement officer when he entered Basic Law Enforcement Training the fall of 2005. Upon graduation, he started his law enforcement career with Coats Police Department and soon transferred to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office where he currently serves the citizens of Harnett County. He also has a passion for working in the funeral service profession and works part time at a local funeral home.

Dean was raised to the Degree of Master Mason May 4, 2010 and is a member of Lillington Lodge #302 and Phoenix Lodge #8. He became a member of Sudan Shriners crossing the Hot Sands on May 15, 2010 at the Spring Ceremonial in Fayetteville, NC. He is a member of Harnett County Shrine Club where he served on the board of directors, Secretary in 2012, and President in 2018. He is a member of the Sudan Dunn Clowns, the International Shrine Clown Association, and the South Atlantic Shrine Clown Association. He served as Assistant Director of Sudan Shriners from 2018 until he was appointed to the Divan in 2021 by now Past Potentate Coble Wilson. Dean has also been a member of Sudan’s Membership Team since 2011.

Dean Married former Darlene Dark in April 2007 and reside in Spring Lake, North Carolina. Darlene and Dean enjoy spending their free time with family, friends and their dogs Willow and Teal. He says that it’s an honor and a privilege to be an elected Divan member of Sudan Shriners and will continue to work hard for the Nobles of Sudan Shriners and the Children at our Shriners Hospitals.
