Noble Dean West. was born November 4, 1981 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Jonathan D., Sr. and Cindi West. Dean graduated from Western Harnett High School in 2000 and attended Fayetteville Technical Community College studying Funeral Service Education and later Criminal Justice. He began Basic Law Enforcement Training in the fall of 2005, and upon graduation started his law enforcement career with Coats Police Department and soon transferred to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office. He also has a passion for working in the funeral service profession and further serves his community as a funeral service assistant.

Dean was raised to the Degree of Master Mason May 4, 2010 and is a member of Lillington Lodge #302. He became a member of Sudan Shriners crossing the Hot Sands on May 15, 2010 at the Spring Ceremonial in Fayetteville, NC. He is a member of Dunn Shrine Club and Harnett County Shrine Club where he has served on the board of directors, Secretary in 2012, and President in 2018. He is a member of the Sudan Dunn Clowns where he represents Sudan Shriners and Shriners Children’s in parades throughout Eastern North Carolina. Dean served as Assistant Director of Sudan Shriners from 2018 until 2020, is a founding noble of the Sudan Young Shriners, a member of Sudan’s Membership Team since 2011, and was elected in October 2019 to the Royal Order of the Jesters New Bern Court #145.

Dean married former Darlene Dark in April 2007 and they reside in the Anderson Creek Community. Darlene and Dean enjoy spending their free time at the beach, and with friends and family. He says that he is honored and thankful for the opportunity to be appointed to the Divan and will continue to work hard for the nobles and their ladies of Sudan Shriners and the children at Shriners Children’s.
