Noble Jeff Taylor was born on May 16, 1961, in Portsmouth, VA to James and Frances Taylor. After Jeff’s father retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1977, they moved to Wilmington, NC, where he graduated from Hoggard High School in 1979 and went on to Cape Fear Community College. In 1981, he earned his degree in heating and air conditioning. Jeff is currently a Regional Senior HVAC Technical Service Advisor for Ferguson HVAC Division.

Jeff began his Masonic journey in 1994. He was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on August 16, 1994, at Fuquay Varina Masonic Lodge 258 in Fuquay Varina, N.C. In 1999, he demitted from Fuquay Lodge and joined Roseboro Lodge 585, where he served as the Master in 2006. In 2007, he was elected as treasurer where he served for the next 17 years. Noble Jeff crossed the hot sands in May of 2006 at Carolina Beach. He joined the Sampson Co Shrine Club, where he served as president in 2009 and has held the position of secretary and treasurer for the club. Jeff is a member of the Sudan Roadsters of Sampson Co. and served as captain in 2011. Jeff was appointed as the Masonic Relations Director from 2010 through 2012 and has served as the Sudan Assistant Director for 5 years. Noble Jeff was appointed to the Divan by Ill. Sir Stacey Pugh in 2017.
Noble Jeff has enjoyed working with the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas since 2006 and was appointed to the Board of Governors in 2012, where he served as secretary for the board of governors for 7 years, served as Game Chairman in 2022, and now serves as the Administrator of the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. Jeff enjoys working with the other five Shrine temple members involved with the Shrine Bowl.

Jeff is married to Colleen Taylor, and they reside in Burgaw, NC. They have two children, Brian and Allison. Jeff is very honored to have the opportunity to serve as Potentate of Sudan Shriners for 2026.
