Wilmington S/C Service Awards

On June 3, 2026, Wilmington Shrine Club conducted their monthly meeting.  The night started with a great social, followed by dinner.    PP Lou Smith (23), Club President opened the evening by announcing the 2026 Shriners International Service Awards to be presented to members of the club.  A total of 325 years of dedication and service to our fraternity and Shriners Children’s were recognized for members from this club.  Noble Lee Cannady, Area Governor read the letters from our Imperial Potentate of Shriners International, Imperial Sir Brad T. Koehn.  PP Lou Smith made the presentations assisted by our Chief Rabban Chris Boykin. The recipients for the 50-year Service Awards were Nobles Leon D. Brown, Charles P. Copelan, Donald E. Floyd, George C. Jones, and Robert C. Simon. Nobles Lloyd R. Brown, James D. Powell, and James B. Steele were recognized with the 25-year certificates, letters and pins. Of special note, Noble Lloyd “Raeford” Brown passed on June 2, 2026 after a long illness.  Congratulations and thanks to each noble for their service and dedication from our Sudan membership!
