Thunderbolt Presentation

Our Sudan Thunderbolts from Duplin County had an absolute blast at the 2026 Spring Ceremonial in Greenville, NC with great fellowship, great laughs, and plenty of Thunderbolt’s energy rolling through the parade!

One of the highlights for us when we found out that Most Worshipful Grand Master Steve Norris had joined the Sudan Shriners years ago with the intention of becoming a Sudan Thunderbolt. We wanted to recognize that in a special way.  With the help of our Sudan Potentate, Illustrious Sir Jeff Taylor, who graciously allowed us a few moments during the business meeting, before the parade, we were honored to present MWGM Steve Norris with an Honorary membership.  He was presented a Thunderbolt shirt, hat and certificate by Duplin County Shrine Club President Ben Burger, and Captain of the Thunderbolts Keith Ayers.

It was a proud moment for our unit and one we won’t forget.  Masons and Shriners coming together is what it all about!
