2023 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas Coaches Coat Presentation
On September 1, 2023, Head Football Coach at North Duplin High School was honored as one of the Assistant Coaches for the 2023 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas Annual Game with a presentation of his official Coaches Coat. Coach Hugh Martin will be the Linebacker’s coach. He has been coaching since 1985. His tenure at North Duplin High School started in 2000 as an Assistant Coach and was named the Head Coach in 2006. His teams have won several conference titles and been to the NC State High School finals in 2007 and again in 2017. Sudan Past Potentate Coble Wilson III, and 2nd Vice President of the Shrine Bowl made the coat presentation to Coach Martin. Other Divan members present were Chief Rabban Randy Simpson, Assistant Rabban Tom Ferrell, and High Priest and Prophet Jeff Taylor. Noble Jeff also serves on the Shrine Bowl as an Administrator. The ceremony was conducted prior to the start of the weekly game at North Duplin High.
