At SASA, in September, Larry Norton of World’s Finest Chocolate generously gave Pat Smith, Lady of Lou Smith, Assistant Rabban a 5-pound chocolate bar. The purpose of the gift was to sell raffle tickets to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children. Granddaughter’s, Katie, (12) and Camille Smith (9) jumped right in to lead the raffle through sales in their neighborhood, with school friends and family members. They raised $450 dollars with a boost from family friends not wanting a chance for the chocolate prize. The mega chocolate bar winner was drawn on November 17 on Katie and Camille’s front porch. Chase Jolly won and is a fourth grader at Ogden School in Wilmington. He generously purchased $65 worth of tickets. It was unknown to his mother that he had spent all his money. He shared his chocolate bar with his football team, the Coastal Cowboys, who played for the Pop Warner National Championship in Orlando, Florida. He is a true winner in many ways.
