Columbus Co S/C Service Awards

     On June 16, 2026, Columbus County Shrine Club gathered for their monthly meeting and a great social was shared and dinner followed.   There were over 70 nobles, ladies and guests in attendance. Noble Wayne Baker, Club President opened the meeting and introduced our Divan members present.  Area Governor, 2^nd Ceremonial Master C. Lee Cannady introduced the nobles who were receiving the Shriners International Membership Awards.  Noble Clarence I. Stroud Jr., the 50-year recipient was presented his 50-year pin by his wife. Noble Cannady read the congratulatory letter from our Imperial Potentate, Imperial Sir Brad Koehn after which Chief Rabban Christopher Boykin presented Noble Stroud the letter and certificate.

     Noble Cannady introduced nobles James Meares Jr., Benjamin E. Nye Sr., William B. Russ and Phillip F. Caines to receive their 25-year service awards.  Noble H. Gregg Cole was unable to attend and will be presented his award at a later date. The associated letters, 25-year pins, letters and certificates were presented to the nobles by Chief Rabban Christopher Boykin.  Congratulations from all of Sudan to these nobles!  In closing, Noble Cannady reminded our masonic brothers the importance of “getting back to the basics” and encouraged attendance at our lodge meetings and festivities!  We will likely find some good new Shriners!
