The traditional Sudan Potentate canes sold every year by members of the Cumberland County Shrine Club were not available for the annual January Ceremonial but finally arrived in time for our Spring event. Noble Jory Blumer and members of the shrine club presented our Potentate Cleve Woolard with his 2022 Cane at the Friday night festivities. The second “2022 Cane” was put up and auctioned by Noble Mike Best from New Bern Shrine Club. The bidding took a while, but Noble Wayne Baker from Wilmington won the bid at $1000.00 and the check was written to the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Greenville. What a terrific way to start your fundraiser with $1000.00. Congrats to Cumberland County Shriners.
