This page is an outlet for Shriners Hospitals for Children patients and their families to share their personal experiences with the hospital staff and Sudan Shriners that they interact with. As Nobles, we recognize that what we do is not for our own personal glory or esteem, but for the enhancement of each child's life and to relieve the family from financial burden. This is an opportunity for those family members who wish to share their story to tell it. Patient or family names will be printed only at their request and with their consent.

Ashley is 9 years old and in 3rd grade at Vanceboro Farm Life. She has been diagnosed with SPASTIC DIPLEGIC CEREBRAL PALSY.
A friend of her mother recommended that she try to get an appointment at the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Greenville, SC. That is where she was diagnosed. Her doctor in New Bern, who is an orthopedic doctor told us he would never have found it. We have made 8 trips to the hospital with her, with four of these with the Road Runners. They are a great group of men and women, taking their time to drive the vans to take us there and back. They are very courteous and helpful. I can't thank them enough for what they have done. The doctors and staff at the hospital are very wonderful and caring people. They have my heartfelt gratitude and thanks. I tell everybody how nice everyone involved has been and I recommend that if they know a child who needs help, to get in contact with the Shriners to get their child the help they need. I will do my best to help support the Shriners in any way I can thru donations, annual fish frys, or in any way. My many thanks to ALL of the Shriners and Road Runners, I have had the pleasure to come in contact with. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much,
Annie Baker, grandmother of Ashley |

We've just returned from another "wonderful" visit at Shriner's Children's Hospital in Greenville. Her appointment was on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 9:30 am. She will not have to go back for another year. Isn't that wonderful?!?! We can't say enough about the entire staff at Greenville. Thanks also to you for making Allison's life whole! She's all smiles today on her 16th birthday. Allison sold tickets and served plates at our local Shriner's fish fry on Friday, October 21, 2011. We enjoyed it. We love you Shriners!!!
