Noble Edwin R. “Teeny” Jones was born September 6, 1950 in Washington, NC the son of the late Edwin R. Jones, Sr. and Zella J. Jones. His father was an active member of Orr Lodge as well as his mother being a member of the Eastern Star. Noble Jones was very involved in scouting while growing up and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as well as the God and Country Award and as a member of the Order Of the Arrow.
“Teeny” is Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Eagle Transport Corp., one of the largest petroleum carriers in the southeastern United States. Noble “Teeny” is married to the former Rebecca (Becky) Capps and they reside at 1709 Chamberlain Drive in Wilson. They have two married daughters Tara Brown (Jeff) and Courtney Price (Ryan-also a Mason and Sudan Shriner) and one grandson Noah Edwin Brown. The family all attend the Raleigh Road Baptist Church in Wilson.
“Teeny” was raised to the degree of Master Mason May 9, 2000 at Wilson Lodge 712 in Wilson. He became affiliated with the Scottish Rite on May 13, 2000. He then crossed the Shrine “sands” at the May 22, 2000 Ceremonial in Greenville, NC, later becoming a member of the Wilson County Shrine Club where he has held numerous positions including, house committee, board of directors, first and second VP, President, golf tournament chairman and fish fry chairman.
He has been actively involved with the Sudan Monster Trucks serving on the board, vice-commander and commander for two terms. He is also a current member of the International Horse Patrol. On October 22, 2005 Noble “Teeny” became a member of the New Bern Court #145 Royal Order of Jesters.
Noble Jones is deeply honored to be selected by Potentate Aubrey Nichols to be appointed to the Divan and serve the nobility of Sudan. He is proud of his Masonic and Shrine affiliations and eagerly looks forward to using his business experience in helping to promote our fraternity and charitable goals. |
