Ricky Jackson
Mr. Ricky Jackson was born in Mount Olive, NC in 1954. He’s lived in Jacksonville and Wilmington most of his life and has 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
He’s married to Susan Jackson, who is Past Worthy Matron of Cape Fear Chapter No. 346, Wilmington and actively involved in the Grand Chapter of NC Order of the Eastern Star. She is an active member of the Ladies of the Arab Shrine Club.
Mr. Jackson has worked in the banking industry for 28 years in Jacksonville, Raleigh and Wilmington.
His Financial / Banking career began in 1978, in Collections and diversified into Management within the branch system, managing a regional sales finance center, then moving into a new area of banking, investments, selling mutual funds and annuities, which led to becoming a licensed stock broker. Missing the banking side of the business, an opportunity became available in the mortgage lending area in Wilmington and after a year there a position became available with responsibilities for retail and commercial lending in Jacksonville in 1995. In 2003, Ricky joined Cooperative Bank, in Wilmington, as Vice President of Commercial Lending / Business Banking.
Ricky’s past civic club memberships were Jacksonville and Southwest Jaycees, Jacksonville Kiwanis, Jacksonville Rotary, Wrightsville Beach Lions Club (Past President) and Wilmington-East Rotary Club and Past President of the Wrightsville Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Jackson’s Masonic career started over 14 years ago where he was raised in Wilmington Lodge No. 319, Wilmington, NC, on November 21, 1991. In 1992, he became a 32° Scottish Rite Mason with the Valley of Wilmington, NC and a York Rite Mason with Concord Chapter No. 1 RAM, Munson Council No. 4 R&SM, and Plantagenet Commandery No. 1 KT.
Ricky joined Sudan Shriners in May 1992, and became a member of Arab Shrine Club and the Drum and Bugle Corps that same year. He also served as Treasurer for the Corps for several years.
After serving Arab Shrine Club as Fish Fry and Golf Tournament Chairman and Treasurer he was elected President in 1995. In February, of that same year, he transferred with his job to Jacksonville, NC, and commuted to Wilmington to serve out his term.
Ricky joined Lafayette Lodge No. 83 and the Onslow Shrine Club in 1995, and soon thereafter became actively involved in the Lodge going through the chairs and served as Master in 1999. Afterwards he served as Treasurer for several years and became a Certified Lecturer in 1999. Ricky has also served Onslow Shrine Club as Fish Fry Chairman, Treasurer and in 2000 was President of the Club.
He returned to Wilmington in 2003 and joined Cape Fear Chapter No. 346 Order of the Eastern Star, appointed to Warden for 2004 and is currently serving as Treasurer. He also serves as Treasurer of the York Rite Bodies in Wilmington.
Mr. Jackson is excited over his Appointment as Outer Guard with Sudan Shrine Temple and looks forward to serving the best interests of the “World’s Greatest Philanthropy” and fraternity. Congratulations and best wishes Noble Jackson. |
