Welcome to Sudans new web site.
I began talking with Andy Leggette of Columbus County Shrine club last year regarding a re-vamp of our website and also becoming our Red Fed editor. Andy is well known for producing the best news letter in Sudan Land. I was truly excited when he accepted the job.
For years I have heard comments from our Nobility where they complain that their articles and pictures are not included in the Red Fez magazine. Well, we think we have found the solution. While the Red Fez Magazine is a good tool for those that "do not have a computer", and for static information, I know that there are more efficient ways to communicate.
So, let's get started. Please submit your Club and Unit articles to Andy via sudanshriners@yahoo.com.. Yes, all submissions to the web site must be electronically submitted.
Articles that deserve consideration include but are not limited to:
- something that worked as a fund-raiser
- important milestones for your club or unit
- recent activities of your club or unit
- up coming events
Submit your article with pictures and include a description of the identity of those you want recognized.
We are looking for news items for publication. This will not be a place to distribute opinions, rants or raves. Our website will be a place to distribute information regarding what clubs, units, or Sudan is doing, You articles are subject to editing for a number or reasons, content, spelling, length, etc. Our Editor will keep it professional and journalisticly proper, delivering just what you would get if reading a newspaper article, anything Shrine related
I realize that this barley moves our communication method into the 21st century. The Shrine is low to change. With your help, Andy can make the Web site a viable tool.
